Your costs to attend IU East will vary based on where you’re from and whether you’re an undergraduate or graduate student.

If you're from select western Ohio counties, you'll pay the same tuition as Indiana residents through a program called reciprocity. If you're from select Midwest states, you'll receive the discounted Indiana Partner tuition rate.

Residents of the following Ohio counties are considered reciprocity students and receive in-state tuition rates: Allen, Auglaize, Butler, Darke, Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Mercer, Paulding, Preble, Putnam, Shelby, Van Wert, and Williams.

Residents of Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, or Wisconsin are eligible for the Indiana Partner tuition rate under the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP). Residents of Illinois and Michigan are  extended this courtesy to receive the Indiana Partners tuition rate as well.
